Cepsa appoints chief Legal officer

Cepsa has appointed Siemens Energy general counsel Jörg Häring its new chief Legal officer

Jörg Häring (pictured) has been appointed as Cepsa’s new chief Legal officer, reporting directly to CEO Philippe Boisseau. Häring, who joins the company as a member of the Management Committee, will take over from Ignacio Pinilla, who will retire in the coming months.

Häring holds a PhD in Law, magna cum laude, and a degree in Economics from the University of Tübingen (Germany). He has over twenty years’ experience as a Legal director across a range of sectors, including energy, industrials, digital and healthcare. Most recently he worked as chief Legal officer for Siemens Energy after 18 years in the Siemens Group, where he also advised on Corporate Governance, M&A, Commercial or Compliance functions.

Now, after a career of amost 20 years at Siemens he leaves Germany and moves to Madrid´s Cepsa tower to get the baton from Ignacio Pinilla, who has been the Spanish Energy company general counsel since 2001.

He is fluent in six languages and has extensive international experience in the growth and transformation processes of multinationals, as well as in the management of global teams.
