Ceca Magán hosts the annual meeting of the International Alliance FLI

Ceca Magán Abogados has been the host firm of the Annual Conference of the International Alliance First Law International (FLI), held in Madrid. This is the first time that the firm, member of the FLI Board since 2024, organises this meeting in Spain.

The event brought together an important group of senior representatives of law firms from more than 25 countries, who during three days shared knowledge, experiences and forecasts on the main emerging trends in international business law. Among the attendees were leading figures such as Jaime Carey, principal director of the Chilean law firm Carey Abogados, currently also President of the IBA, Bryan Bletso, Chairman of the Board and partner of Irwin Mitchell from the United Kingdom, and Orlando Casares, CEO and founder of the FLI Alliance based in Brussels (Belgium).

Digital transformation, impact of AI, compliance challenges…

Among the topics discussed were the digital transformation of the legal sector, the impact of AI on global legal practice, the challenges of compliance at an international level, particularly in the areas of corruption and privacy of information and challenges in terms of cyber attacks, as well as analysing the opportunities of international projection for companies, also taking advantage of the attendance of legal counsels from major international companies, who participated in the event.

In addition, the event welcomed new members of the FLI network representing Poland, Japan, Australia, Turkey and Italy, thus reinforcing its value as one of the most active and connected legal communities in the global legal field.
