Cases Lacambra advises EIB and FEDA on €60M deal

Cases Lacambra has advised the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Forces Elèctriques d’Andorra (FEDA) on a €60 million financing granted by the EIB to the Principality of Andorra, earmarked for energy transition projects. The transaction was announced on 23 April 2026.

The operation is notable in that it involves a country outside both the European Union and the European Economic Area accessing EIB financing programmes — a structurally complex scenario that required the development of an innovative legal and financial model between the Government of Andorra and FEDA, aligned with EIB standards while remaining consistent with the Andorran regulatory framework.
