Cases Lacambra adds Emma Pons as US partner

Cases Lacambra has appointed Emma Pons as partner in its U.S. office, where she will split her time between New York and Miami. The hire brings the firm’s U.S. partnership to three and strengthens its capacity to advise on cross-border transactions involving the United States, Europe, and Latin America.

Pons will also play a central role in the firm’s U.S. Desk, a multidisciplinary team of up to 12 professionals drawn from the firm’s offices in the U.S., Spain, and Andorra, designed to provide coordinated advice on U.S.-related matters with a transatlantic dimension.

The profile

Dual-qualified in Spain and New York, Pons advises domestic and international clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations, foreign investment, and corporate governance. She also brings experience in the life sciences and healthcare sectors, covering corporate, regulatory, and compliance matters. Prior to joining Cases Lacambra, she practised at international law firms, advising on complex cross-border transactions across multiple jurisdictions.

Pons holds a law degree from ESADE, a master’s degree in legal practice, and a master’s degree in international business law, both also from ESADE. She additionally earned an LL.M. from Columbia Law School and participated in the Themis international programme at Freie Universität Berlin.
