Caro & Asociados Barcelona is born

Caro & Asociados, a leading compliance firm in Peru, has announced the integration of the Barcelona firm Grup Indei Assessors SLP led by Carlos Durán-Sindreu Terol and Miquel Rodó Marcet. This move, which is part of the firm’s international expansion strategy, allows the firm led by Carlos Caro Coria to add a second office in Spain after the opening, in October 2023, of its Madrid offices, under the direction of Richard Aguilar.

In the words of Carlos Caro, “this new office reinforces the presence of our firm in the European market, as well as our commitment to our clients who operate in an increasingly complex, changing and regulated global environment and who demand advice with the maximum guarantees and the utmost rigor”.

Via Augusta

The offices located in the central Via Augusta will operate offering tax compliance services, tax risk management, international tax planning, corporate compliance, financial and accounting advice, and services in the commercial and corporate field.

Carlos Durán-Sindreu Terol

Carlos Durán-Sindreu, auditor, economist and university professor, has more than 20 years of experience advising clients on tax and accounting matters.

Durán-Sindreu, co-managing partner of the Barcelona office, believes that “this integration is especially relevant for companies seeking to mitigate risks, avoid penalties and maximize their tax efficiency in a global context”. “We can now offer even more competitive, comprehensive solutions tailored to the local and international needs of our clients,” he stresses.

Miquel Rodó Marcet

Miquel Rodó, lawyer, has more than 34 years of experience during which he has specialized in Commercial and Corporate Law and Tax Procedures.

For Rodó, also co-director of the Barcelona office of Caro & Asociados, “one of the most attractive aspects for us of this integration is the focus of Caro & Asociados, which goes beyond regulatory compliance. The firm merges its expertise in compliance with our Tax and Corporate Law practice, providing comprehensive solutions that ensure compliance with tax regulations, while optimizing our clients’ corporate and tax structures”.

Indra or Husqvarna, among its clients

The firm already has clients in Peru such as the Spanish company Indra, the Swedish company Husqvarna, several ministries or several mining companies, among others. In addition, the firm has ISO 37001 certification for Anti-Bribery Management Systems and ISO 37301 for Compliance Management Systems, which, according to its managing partner and founder, Carlos Caro, “underlines our commitment to best practices and integrity in business, an aspect that has distinguished the firm since its foundation more than 20 years ago”.
