Caridad Mourelo joins PwC Tax & Legal
PwC Tax & Legal has welcomed Caridad Mourelo, a seasoned legal professional and State Tax Inspector, to enhance its tax advisory services. With a degree in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid, Mourelo brings over 35 years of extensive experience in tax administration and a profound understanding of fiscal and economic criminal law.
In her new role as Of Counsel at PwC Tax & Legal, Caridad Mourelo will serve as the head of tax policy, contributing to the issuance of tax-related guidelines. Her wealth of experience will also reinforce the implementation and monitoring of the firm’s tax code of conduct across all professionals.
Mourelo’s professional journey within the Tax Administration includes various roles, primarily focused on inspection. She has overseen and coordinated numerous inspection procedures within the Regional Inspection and the Central Delegation of Major Contributors. Additionally, she has held key positions such as Head of the Technical Office of the Regional Inspection of Madrid and Head of the Central Unit for Coordination in matters of offenses against Public Finance.
With her comprehensive background in tax and legal affairs, Mourelo’s addition is expected to further elevate PwC Tax & Legal’s capabilities in providing strategic and informed tax advice to clients.
