Caiado Guerreiro advises TBD Group on US$250M financing expansion

Caiado Guerreiro advised TBD Group in the negotiation and completion of the expansion of the financing facility granted to Mota-Engil Africa, raising the amount to 250 million dollars, in a milestone collaboration that aims to reinforce the role of African infrastructure in regional economic development.

The transaction — which increases the originally established financing by a further 100 million dollars — aims to support a diversified portfolio of large-scale infrastructure projects in Africa, ranging from railways and ports to airports and mining projects in countries such as Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Rwanda, and Senegal. The extension of the credit line represents a convergence between institutional capital and long-term strategic vision, reflecting the continent’s continued attractiveness for structured investments with socioeconomic impact, states the law firm.

The legal team at Caiado Guerreiro was led by partner Joana Gomes dos Santos (pictured), with the participation of associates Diogo Oliveira and Ricardo Silva.
