Bird & Bird expands to Lisbon with new office
Bird & Bird has announced the expansion of its presence in the Iberian Peninsula with the opening of a new office in Lisbon. The team, led by Ana Rita Paínho and Sofia Carreiro, brings expertise in intellectual property, TMT, life sciences, corporate, M&A, employment and litigation.
Ana Rita Painho transits from Sérvulo, where she was a partner in the Life Sciences, Intellectual Property and TMT departments, working in the areas of trademarks and patents. Sofia Carreiro, also a former partner at Sérvulo, focuses on the corporate, commercial and M&A practice areas.
Coral Yáñez, managing partner of Bird & Bird Spain, will take on the leadership of the Iberian region: “Portugal is a key country in the European economy.
