Bird & Bird and Ontier instructed on Marbella hotel joint venture

Bird & Bird advised Swedish company Quartiers Properties on a joint venture agreement for the development of a “luxury hotel” in Marbella.

Quartiers will own 50 per cent of the new company, with the remaining 50 per cent owned by an international investment group led by investors Raouf Lotfi and Fadi Tabbara, who were advised by Ontier on the deal.

Quartiers will invest approximately €1.2 million in the project, with up to €4 million being invested by the other joint owners.

The 50-room hotel is expected to open in mid-2019.
