Bird & Bird advises on the acquisition of Rime Energía

Bird & Bird has advised Homeserve Iberia on the acquisition of Rime Energía, a group devoted to installation and review of electricity and gas connections/network.

This transaction is part of the inorganic expansion plan of the group. The firm has already advised Homeserve on several transactions, being the acquisition of Rime Energía, the sixth transaction in which the B&B team has assisted. 

Homeserve Iberia, is a company in the business of providing home reparation services regarding electricity and gas installations. It is currently part of Brookfield Group, which has had a leading role in the creation and implementation of the expansion plan of Homeserve Group.

The team was led by corporate partner Lourdes Ayala and assisted by the legal team composed by senior associate Antonio Ballesteros and associate Lucía Sánchez. 

Also, on the due diligence side, the Bird & Bird team also comprised labour associate Henar Bocigas and Adrián Aroca; commercial associate Patricia Peregrín; regulatory associate Elvira Santoja and data protection associate Jaime Delgado.
