BIP Law and Tax creates a Spanish Desk

BIP Law and Tax, founded in January 2025 and led by managing partner Stefania Radoccia, has announced the creation of its Spanish Desk, a new practice dedicated to providing legal and tax assistance to Spanish-speaking clients with interests in Italy, as well as to Italian companies operating in the Iberian and Latin American markets.

Experience in Spain

The firm, which already advises Spanish funds on transactions in Italy and family offices on cross-border investments, aims to consolidate a stable bridge between the Spanish and Italian economies.

The Desk is headed by Ilaria Stassano (pictured left), a bilingual Italian-Spanish lawyer, qualified in both Italy and Spain and Director of the firm’s Corporate M&A team. Stassano has extensive experience in international transactions and in advising industrial groups, funds and global investors.

In addition, this area is integrated into the firm’s Corporate team dedicated to international development, coordinated by equity partner John Shehata, with the aim of strengthening cross-border advice on corporate matters, M&A, private capital and international taxation.

Direct contact

Specifically, the Desk will act as a specialised contact for corporate clients, family offices and investors in the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America interested in acquisitions, joint ventures, real estate transactions, private capital and tax planning in Italy. It will also assist Italian companies wishing to expand into Spain or other Spanish-speaking countries, offering assistance in corporate, regulatory, contractual and tax matters.

Collaboration with BIP Iberia

The Spanish Desk of BIP Law and Tax will also collaborate with BIP Iberia, led by Country CEO Jesus Ruiz (pictured right) and Managing Director Giovanni Alessandrello, to offer cross-border legal and tax advice to Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking companies, consolidating BIP’s presence in Spain and Portugal and facilitating corporate transactions, M&A, private capital and international taxation.
