Belda, Bordón & Merodio opens Barcelona office
Belda, Bordón & Merodio has opened an office in Barcelona, its first outside Madrid, and has incorporated Ramón Carrillo de Albornoz as a new partner to lead the new location. He joins from Andersen.
The new office is located at Calle Aribau 170. With this move, “Belda, Bordón & Merodio expands its territorial footprint while maintaining its boutique model focused on business law and specialised advice, with particular emphasis on Corporate/M&A, Real Estate, Tax, Finance and Litigation”, states the law firm.
Ramón Carrillo de Albornoz
Carrillo de Albornoz has more than a decade of professional experience and specialises in tax advice, particularly for high-net-worth clients, corporate restructurings and real estate transactions. Throughout his career he has advised domestic and international private clients on tax and estate planning matters, as well as on corporate and investment transactions, with experience in sectors including real estate, new technologies, crypto-assets and insurance.
He holds a law degree from Universidad CEU San Pablo, a Master’s in Access to the Legal Profession and Tax Legal Practice from Centro de Estudios Garrigues, and a Master’s in Telecommunications and New Technologies Law from Universidad Europea and Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo.
Growth strategy
Pedro Belda, founding partner of Belda, Bordón & Merodio, said that the opening of the Barcelona office is “a natural step in the firm’s evolution and reflects its intention to keep growing selectively, maintaining a model centred on client value, high specialisation, proximity and direct partner involvement”. He added that “the addition of Ramón Carrillo de Albornoz allows the firm to take on this project with a professional who has a deep understanding of the Catalan market and shares the firm’s approach to client relationships and legal advice”.
Founded in 2021, Belda, Bordón & Merodio has developed a boutique model specialised in corporate, real estate and financial transactions and tax advice, working with companies, investors, investment funds, family offices and high-net-worth individuals. From the new Barcelona office, the firm plans to offer advice across its main practice areas while gradually expanding the team in line with business growth, positioning Barcelona as one of its strategic locations for future development, states the law firm.
