BDO Abogados advises RTE International on the acquisition of Grupo MAI in Spain
BDO Abogados has advised RTE International in the acquisition of Grupo MAI in Spain, providing financial, tax, legal, labor and IT due diligence service. This transaction marks a milestone in the energy consulting sector and strengthens the position of both companies in the international market.
RTE International, a French company specialized in electricity transmission, has completed the acquisition of MAI Group (MAI), strengthening its capacity to offer advanced solutions in energy systems engineering and consulting on a global level.
The synergy between the two entities will allow them to leverage complementary competencies and broaden market reach. MAI, with 25 years of experience and a strong presence in key regions such as MENA, Central Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, joins RTEi, which has a strong presence in Europe, West Africa and the Pacific Region. Together, they will be able to offer innovative solutions in energy transition, grid modernization and digitization of electricity systems.
