BBrainers: Jurists “join their brains” to improve the Justice system

The III edition of BBrainers will be held next weekend, November 26th, 27th and 28th

The BBrainers 2021 edition will offer Legal experiences of innovation, personal growth and shared learning in a different environment. A hundred judges, prosecutors, lawyers and Law students will meet at the III Edition of the BBrainers legal event to analyse the current scenario of the Spanish Justice system.

From November 26 to 28, 2021, the Legal event will cover controversial topics such as the politicisation of Justice, judicial independence, the influence of the media, telematic trials and the impact of technology in an increasingly globalised world.

The event will take place during a full weekend in which attendees and speakers will live together, for 40 hours, in a natural environment that invites to share knowledge and experiences “from a critical perspective and with a reflective and respectful attitude with all opinions and ideas that seek to improve Justice in particular, and our society in general,” according to the promoter of the BBrainers event, lawyer and entrepreneur Delia Rodriguez.

Although the BBrainers experience begins on Friday 26th, it will be on Saturday 27th when the Spanish Ambassador to Unesco, former Minister of Culture and Sports José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, will officially open the third edition. He will do so with the round table entitled “Current panorama of Justice in Spain”. It will bring together great legal minds from different disciplines and will talk about the current legal situation, addressing some issues such as the politicisation of Justice, the latest post-pandemic legal reforms, parallel trials, and other current social issues. The roundtable will gather Luisa María Gómez, president of the Social Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice of Castilla-La Mancha and Natalia Velilla, Magistrate and author of the book “Así Funciona la Justicia”. Also among the guests are renowned jurists such as José María de Pablo Hermida, partner at Bufete Mas y Calvet and the active journalist and head of Courts of La Sexta, Alfonso Pérez Medina. This round table will be moderated by the legal journalist Pedro del Rosal.

Next, the round table “The impact of technology in the legal sector” will address issues such as Artificial intelligence applied to law firms? What will the training of the future be like? Telematic trials and fundamental rights?” Zero paper in Justice: fiction or reality?” or “What will the training of the future be like?.” All these questions will be covered by legal experts and technology specialists. The intense debate will count on personalities from public institutions such as Ángel Niño, delegate of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Area of the Madrid City Council, and from the judiciary, such as Carlos Viader, Judge very committed in social networks with social causes such as diversity. Other participants are: Alicia Muñoz Lombardía, director of governance, regulation and privacy at Santander Spain, Borja Adsuara, PhD in Law and consultant, and Juan José Sánchez Puig, president of the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía (ISDE). This round table will be moderated by journalist Carlos Berbell.

In the afternoon, space will be given to “The keys to Marketing for lawyers”. The last of the round tables will deal with the definitive keys to Legal marketing, a topic that is always of interest to all generations of lawyers attending and will be moderated by journalist Carlos Capa.

The day will end with the BBraniers awards ceremony, which will be presented by journalist and editor-in-chief of Iberian Lawyer, Desiré Vidal.

The event will also have numerous spaces for networking and enjoyment of the environment during the three days. Bbrainers will have several sponsors and collaborators, including Iberian Lawyer. Tickets can be purchased until the 25th at 11 pm on the event’s website bbrainers.es.
