Barpimo Coatings joins the multinational Kusto Group: Advisors
Kusto Group has welcomed Barpimo Coatings, a distinguished family-owned manufacturer of paints and coatings from the Rioja region in northern Spain, to its growing portfolio.
Founded by Juan Ros Montesinos, Barpimo has been managed for the last 25 years by the second generation of the Montesinos family, together with a well-established professional management team. With more than six decades of experience, Barpimo brings to the Kusto Group solid industrial expertise, a wide range of products and advanced manufacturing capabilities, consolidating its position as a key player in the group’s international expansion plan in the paint and varnish sector.
Over the last decade, Kusto Group has developed an international expansion strategy focused on strengthening its presence in the paint, varnish and construction materials sector. In 2014, it acquired Tambour, Israel’s largest and oldest paint manufacturer, founded in 1936. Subsequently, in 2018, it acquired the Italian company Zetagi, and in 2019 Tambour completed the purchase of all shares in Geves Gesher, also in Israel. In 2023, the group expanded its presence in the Mediterranean with an investment in Latouros Gypsum in Cyprus. More recently, in 2024, it consolidated its position in the European market with the acquisition of Verinlegno, an Italian manufacturer specialising in wood varnishes.
With the addition of Barpimo Coatings, Kusto Group continues to strengthen its presence in Europe and build a solid international platform offering innovative solutions in construction materials.
