Baker McKenzie elects new EMEA chair
Baker McKenzie has appointed partner Kirsty Wilson chair of the firm´s EMEA Regional Council
London-based Kirsty Wilson (pictured), Corporate partner and chair of the Global Reorganisations Group, joins both the Executive Committee, and the firm’s EMEA Regional Council. She will replace Munich partner Constanze Ulmer-Eilfort, who will be concluding her four-year term, assuming her new role in October at Baker McKenzie’s Annual Meeting.
The firm has also appointed Gustavo Boruchowicz, M&A partner and former managing partner of Baker McKenzie’s Buenos Aires office, Latin America chair in addition to his Executive Committee responsibilities.
Commenting on the new appointments, Milton Cheng, global chair, Baker McKenzie, said: “In Kirsty and Gustavo we have two outstanding leaders with a strong track record of successfully leading large teams, and collaborating across multiple jurisdictions and various practices. Baker McKenzie’s Global Executive Committee includes partner representatives covering all regions, with responsibility for developing and implementing global strategy and managing the firm’s day-to-day business across 77 offices in 46 countries.
