Baker McKenzie appoints new Barcelona managing partner

Baker McKenzie has appointed Montserrat Llopart as managing partner of its Barcelona office.

She succeeds Jorge Adell, who will continue to lead the office’s M&A department.

Llopart has 25 years experience advising clients in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.

A Baker McKenzie statement said Llopart would combine her new responsibilities with her role as manager of Baker McKenzie’s pharmaceutical and health law department in Barcelona.

“In her new role, Llopart will be responsible for accelerating the growth of Baker McKenzie nationwide in collaboration with José María Alonso, managing partner of the Madrid office,” the statement added.
