Baker & McKenzie and KPMG advise on €130m Bright Food deal

Baker & McKenzie advised the Chinese company Bright Food on the acquisition of the Spanish distribution company Miquel Alimentació.

The deal was valued at €130 million, according to Mergermarket.

KPMG advised the vendors – the Miguel family – on the deal.

Headquartered in Shanghai, Bright Food comprises 22 food and distribution companies, with turnover of €18 billiion.

The purchase of Miquel Alimentació represents the company´s first acquisition in the distribution sector in Europe.
