Baker McKenzie advises on the refinancing of the iconic Torre Caleido
Baker McKenzie has acted as advisor to Grupo Emperador on the refinancing of the iconic Torre Caleido, known as the Fifth Tower of the Paseo de la Castellana in Madrid. The transaction was formalised through a syndicated loan worth €200 million from BBVA and PIMCO/Allianz.
This transaction represents a strategic step for Grupo Emperador, allowing it to redefine the terms of its financing, extend the terms and provide the asset with a more flexible financial structure adapted to its objectives.
The advisory team was led by Juan Gelabert and Guillermo Rodrigo, partners responsible for Banking & Finance and Real Estate, respectively, with the fundamental support of a multidisciplinary team including Paloma Moreno de la Santa (Banking & Finance) and Paloma Alcón (Real Estate), among others.
