Aurora Sanz, new managing partner of tax & legal at Grant Thornton Spain

Aurora Sanz has been appointed as the new managing partner of tax & legal at Grant Thornton Spain, a move that marks a new stage in the evolution of the firm’s legal services. In this role, she will jointly lead all legal practice areas nationwide, driving an integrated vision of legal advisory within the professional services firm, states Grant Thornton.

“This new structure responds to the objective of aligning the strategy across all legal services, pooling capabilities and delivering a unified and coordinated response to any client requiring comprehensive legal advice, regardless of the area of business law involved. The move reinforces Grant Thornton’s commitment to a full-service model and to a technically coordinated approach that delivers greater value and closer client relationships”, says the firm. The legal division of the firm represents more than 30% of the multidisciplinary firm’s total revenue.

Aurora Sanz, who until now headed Grant Thornton’s labour services practice, believes that “legal practice can no longer be understood as an isolated service, but rather as a strategic lever that helps anticipate risks, structure decisions and protect corporate value. We aim to act as an integrated legal adviser, supporting clients on a preventive and ongoing basis, combining technical excellence with business vision, both global and local, sector knowledge and management criteria.”
