Ashurst surpasses £1 Billion in revenue

Ashurst has announced record financial results for the fiscal year ending 30 April 2025, surpassing £1 billion in revenue for the first time in its history.

Ashurst reported revenues of £1.034 billion (€1.232 billion), an 8% increase from the previous year’s £961 million (€1.145 billion). Profit per equity partner reached £1.39 million (€1.656 million). This milestone marks the firm’s ninth consecutive year of growth, with average annual increases of 8% in revenue and 10% in profitability over the past nine years.

Paul Jenkins, Ashurst’s Global CEO, commented: “Crossing the £1 billion revenue mark is a fantastic achievement for the firm. I’m immensely proud to celebrate our ninth consecutive year of growth, maintaining consistent annual progress. This success is driven by the trust of our clients and the commitment of our global team. My thanks go to our partners, colleagues, and clients, who have been fundamental to these exceptional results.”

The firm attributed its performance to the success of its Strategy 2027, focused on priority industries, practice areas, and markets. Ashurst reported strong regional growth across the board, with standout performances in, for example, Continental Europe, particularly Spain (+12%) and Luxembourg (+14%)

Ashurst’s six priority industry sectors now generate over 85% of total revenue, with real estate seeing a nearly 50% increase. All global divisions recorded growth, particularly Ashurst Advance & Consulting, which rose 20% due to rising demand for legal consulting and NewLaw services. The Digital Economy practice also experienced a 21% increase, highlighting the sector’s digital transformation.

Additional notable growth areas included a double-digit growth in Corporate advisory across Germany, Luxembourg, the Middle East, Spain, and Indonesia.

Ashurst also advanced its digital and innovation strategy by deploying Harvey, a generative AI legal tool, across all offices and to its 4,300+ employees. This has enhanced efficiency and elevated client service, with widespread daily use of AI throughout the firm.

Karen Davies, Global Chair, said: “Ashurst has a remarkable global culture, and this outstanding performance reflects our team’s excellence and commitment. Our adaptability, innovation, and international collaboration have been key to nine years of continuous growth.”
