Arpine Abgaryan, new partner of the Regulatory and Financial Law Department of ECIJA Barcelona

Arpine Abgaryan, a lawyer with more than 15 years of experience in regulatory and financial services law, joins ECIJA Barcelona as a partner. Coming from Crèdit Andorrà, she reinforces the firm’s capacity to advise financial institutions, investment services companies, collective investment schemes, insurance companies and large corporations.

Prior to joining ECIJA, Abgaryan has held senior management positions in entities such as Crèdit Andorrà, where she was a member of the Executive Committee, director of the Legal Department, Regulatory Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering.

She also held the position of director of the legal department of Banco Alcalá, Legal Advisor and Secretary of the Board of Directors of Banco Alcalá, as well as director of the Barcelona office of the law firm Arqués, Ribert, Junyer, Genover. Abgaryan accumulates significant experience in multidisciplinary advice to national and international financial institutions in different areas of financial regulation, private banking, corporate governance, MiFID, securities market, payment services, inspections and requirements of supervisors, regulatory compliance, prevention of money laundering, rules of conduct and ethics, and strategic growth and M&A transactions.

She holds a degree in Law from the University of Barcelona and has specialized training in Business Law and Urban Law. She is a member of the Barcelona Bar Association and the Council of the Bar and Law Societies of the European Union.
