A&O Shearman finalises the signing of Paz de la Iglesia
A&O Shearman is finalising the signing of Paz de la Iglesia as a partner in the employment law department. The new partner comes from DLA Piper, where she has spent the last 17 years and headed the employment law department.
Paz de la Iglesia
This move comes in response to the departure of Silvia Bauzá, who, after seven years with the firm, left at the end of January this year to join EY Abogados as partner in charge of the employment law department.
De la Iglesia was previously partner in charge of the Employment Law Department at DLA Piper’s Madrid office. She was also the partner in charge of Pro Bono and co-head of ESG practice in Spain.
The lawyer has extensive experience in all areas of labour law and social security. She has been involved in numerous corporate restructuring operations, legal representation before social courts and tribunals, collective bargaining, drafting senior management contracts, advising on labour aspects of M&A, etc.
She graduated in Law from the University of Oviedo in 2000 and holds a Master’s Degree in Labour Law and Social Security. She is a regular speaker at seminars on social and labour issues and at conferences on labour matters organised by various independent companies.
