A&O advises Bridgepoint on his refereeing victory against Spain

Allen & Overy has advised Bridgepoint in the annulment proceedings that have recently culminated in the decision of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) ad hoc committee dismissing Spain’s application against the award of january 2020 that provides the claimants with 77 million euros as a result of Spain’s 2013 renewable energy reform.

This is the fourth highest conviction in Spain for the cut in renewable energy feed-in tariffs.

The team involved in the transaction was formed by Antonio Vazquez-Guillen (head of the litigation/arbitration department in Spain and co-managing partner), Pablo Torres (senior associate), Lucinda C. (associate), Gary Smadja (associate) and Tatiana Olazábal Ruiz de Velasco (associate). They all belong to the Madrid team. And from other headquarters, Marie Stoyanov (Paris) and David Ingle (Washington).
