Antas da Cunha Ecija marks its 10th anniversary

In 2025, Antas da Cunha Ecija marked 10 years of activity in Portugal. Founded in 2015 with an initial team of fewer than ten professionals, the law firm now has more than 200 professionals, spread across four offices in Portugal (Lisbon, Porto, Braga and Funchal – the latter in partnership), and in 2025 surpassed the €20 million revenue mark.

According to Fernando Antas da Cunha, managing partner, “this trajectory is not the result of isolated circumstances, but of a clear strategy: investing in talent, anticipating trends, building teams with critical mass and unquestionable competence, and aligning ourselves with international partners who share the same ambition.” He adds: “We have grown because we chose to grow with discernment, while maintaining independence, culture and a strong client focus. More than that, we have followed this path without renouncing our founding values and by simply being ourselves.”

Antas da Cunha Ecija now operates as a full-service law firm, with 15 practice areas and a strong technology focus, having integrated artificial intelligence into its processes, according to the law firm. This is reinforced by its strategic alignment with Iberiamerican law firm Ecija, now present in 18 jurisdictions, with around 1,400 professionals and revenues exceeding €100 million.

In 2023, Antas da Cunha Ecija has also established a strategic alliance with Taylor Wessing, an Anglo-Saxon law firms, with presence in Europe, Asia and the United States. “This partnership strengthened access to key markets, multinational clients and complex, highly sophisticated legal transactions”, states the law firm. In this context, Antas da Cunha Ecija became part of an Ibero-American axis, positioning itself as a gateway for operations between Europe, the US and Latin American markets.

To mark this milestone, Antas da Cunha Ecija has produced a documentary telling its story, available here: https://youtu.be/UgCHUy-ZqHM
