Andersen strengthens its Barcelona office with three new incorporations
Andersen has reinforced its Barcelona office with three new additions: José Ignacio Gelpí, as a new partner in the labor and employment department; Stella Raventós, as of counsel in the tax area, and Dimitri Sierra, counsel in the corporate and M&A practice. The three signings are part of the growth and specialization strategy that the firm has been deploying in the city, whose office is headed by Juan Ignacio Alonso.

José Ignacio Gelpí
José Ignacio Gelpí has a degree in Law from the University of Barcelona and a Master’s Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention. He has a professional career of almost 30 years, in which he has advised on labor issues such as collective bargaining and restructuring; procedures for termination and/or suspension of contracts; dismissals; modification of working conditions; decentralization of production, or the legal and labor impact of mergers and acquisitions, among others.
Previously, he has been a member of law firms such as Garrigues or Gelpí & Morales Abogados Laboralistas. He joins from Prime Legal Abogados where he was a partner. In the academic field, he is an associate professor at the University of Barcelona in the department of Commercial Law and Labor and Social Security Law.
Stella Raventós
Stella Raventós has a degree in Law and a Master in Tax Law from the University of Barcelona. During her three decades of professional career she has specialized in the field of international taxation and corporate taxation. In addition to her experience as a lawyer, she has held institutional positions such as the presidency of the Spanish Association of Tax Advisors (AEDAF), Chair of the Tax Committee of the European Tax Confederation and head of the working group on the CJEU Jurisprudence on direct taxation of the Confederation. She is currently vice-president of the European Tax Confederation, and has joined the firm from Addwill, where she was a partner.
Dimitri Sierra
Finally, Dimitri Sierra holds a degree in Law from the University of Barcelona and a Master in Intellectual/Industrial Property and New Technology and a Master in Digital Business, both from ESADE Business School. As a lawyer, he specializes in commercial law, intellectual and industrial property, and information technology, and has extensive experience in advising Russian-speaking clients.
He has been part of law firms such as Uría Menéndez or Escura and founded the firm Atelier Juridic Advocats; from where he joins Andersen.
