Andersen names Carlos Mínguez co-director in Valencia

Andersen Iberia has appointed Carlos Mínguez, partner in the firm’s public and regulatory law department, as co-director of its Valencia office, a role he will share with Benjamín Prieto, the current director who has held the position single-handedly since 2017.

Carlos Mínguez has been a partner at Andersen since 2019 and currently coordinates the energy and natural resources practice. He advises companies in the energy, water, environmental services, port and mining sectors, among others, on the regulatory aspects of their business. He also combines his professional practice with university teaching.

In the last financial year, Andersen’s Valencia office grew by more than 21% compared to the previous year. It currently employs around 120 professionals, 12 of whom are partners. “The outstanding work of Benjamín Prieto at the helm of Andersen Valencia has allowed us to become the leading law firm in the city and region in terms of size, revenue, and market position,” highlights José Vicente Morote, managing partner, adding that “Carlos Mínguez is an example of commitment and excellence, both internally and in his client relationships. His appointment strengthens the office’s management structure as we continue to pursue our goals.”

“It is a source of pride and honour to take on this role and to share it with Benjamín Prieto. I am aware of the responsibility it entails, as the challenges ahead are both complex and deeply inspiring — not least because of the key role played by the Valencia office within Andersen Iberia”, states Mínguez.

Valencia is Andersen Iberia’s second-largest office, after Madrid. In 2025, the firm expects to exceed €80 million in revenue. The organisation currently has eight offices across Spain and Portugal: in addition to Valencia and Madrid, Andersen is also present in Barcelona, Seville, Málaga, Bilbao, Lisbon, and Porto.
