Andersen Iberia integrates PRA in Portugal

Andersen Iberia has integrated PRA – Raposo, Sá Miranda & Associados, a Portuguese firm founded in 2001, with more than 160 professionals, including 19 partners, and revenue exceeding €15 million. Following this integration, Andersen Iberia reaches 714 professionals, including 129 partners, and a projected combined revenue of more than €110 million in 2026.

Founded in 2001, PRA – Raposo, Sá Miranda & Associados has offices in Lisbon, Porto, Faro, Leiria, Évora, Viseu, Ponta Delgada (Azores) and Funchal (Madeira). Pedro Raposo and Miguel Miranda, current chairman and managing partner of PRA respectively, will join Andersen Iberia’s board of directors, with Pedro Raposo serving as vice chairman.

The new structure

In Portugal alone, Andersen’s combined revenue following the integration amounts to €23 million, with 223 professionals, including 32 partners. PRA’s partners will join Andersen’s partnership, which will be adapted to reflect the new structure, while professionals will be integrated across the various business areas according to their specialisation.

According to Andersen, the transaction also reflects a sector-focused strategy. Over more than two decades, PRA has developed specialised teams in sectors such as corporate, energy, infrastructure, real estate, financial services, technology, and advisory to private companies in their dealings with public authorities, with a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry stakeholders.

José Vicente Morote, managing partner of Andersen Iberia, stated that “this transaction strengthens our operational capabilities in Spain and Portugal and consolidates our position as a leading legal services platform in the Iberian market.” He added that “this is a milestone for the sector in Iberia and marks a true turning point in our growth strategy,” explaining that “this integration is based on a shared conviction: that the future of top-tier legal advisory lies with strong, fully integrated firms with complete alignment in values, standards and processes.”

Commenting on the integration, Pedro Raposo said that “this is a natural step for our team, as we share the same way of working: absolute commitment to clients, grounded in excellence and professionalism,” adding that “coming together allows us to combine capabilities, strengthen our specialisation and offer clients even more robust and strategic support in Portugal and across Iberia.”
