Andersen hires Diogo Oliveira to strengthen its litigation area in Portugal
Andersen has hired Diogo Matos Oliveira (pictured left) as a partner and coordinator of the litigation practice area. He joins with his team to strengthen the capabilities of the litigation practice in Portugal, reinforcing the firm’s strong commitment to provide global and fully comprehensive advice to its clients.
Diogo Matos Oliveira has a degree in law from the University of Lisbon and has more than 15 years of experience specialising in banking law, real estate, credit recovery, insolvency and corporate restructuring. Throughout his professional career, he has served as a lawyer in law firms such as Eversheds Sutherland FCB and Nobre Guedes & Associados; as well as in Barclays Bank Portugal, where he worked as Legal Manager.
The litigation practice area has now 11 lawyers in the Lisbon office with the incorporation of the new team also comprising Pedro Pestana, who joins as of counsel, Pedro Batalha and Andreia Botelho as associates, Teresa Ferreira as senior lawyer and Carolina Freitas as lawyer.
