Andersen expands in Seville with new partner and counsel
Andersen has expanded its team in Seville with the addition of Miguel Hernández as a new partner in the tax department and the integration of the boutique firm Ramírez Mora Abogados, founded by José Manuel Ramírez, who joins the firm as new counsel in the litigation area. Hernández transits from Garrigues, where he was a counsel. With these developments, Andersen now has ten partners and more than 50 professionals in the Andalusian capital.
A Law graduate from the University of Córdoba, Miguel Hernández also holds a master’s in Business Law from Centro de Estudios Garrigues and has completed the Senior Management Program at San Telmo Business School. He has 25 years of experience as a lawyer, specializing in international tax law, advising both Spanish companies on their interests abroad and foreign companies establishing themselves in Spain. He also has extensive experience in corporate restructuring processes, with a particular focus on the mining sector. In addition to practicing law, he teaches in the master’s program in Taxation and Tax Advisory at Loyola University.
A Law graduate from the University of Seville, José Manuel Ramírez has over 30 years of experience providing legal advice to both public and private entities, having held various positions within the public administration. In 2005, he founded the boutique firm Ramírez Mora Abogados and in 2012, he launched the consultancy Leylocal, which specializes in projects related to tax incentives across various sectors. Academically, he also teaches courses on urban planning and asylum and immigration law and is a regular speaker at conferences on human rights and immigration.
José Vicente Morote, managing partner of Andersen, stated that “the addition of Miguel Hernández and the integration of Ramírez Mora Abogados represent a strategic step toward consolidating our leadership in Seville, strengthening two key departments: tax and litigation.” He added, “with these moves, we reinforce our commitment to highly specialized talent, which enables us to continue providing top-quality legal advice to our clients and supports our goal of becoming the leading law firm in the Andalusian capital.”
