Andersen advises on the sale of 100% of TECOM Ingredients to Dutch group IMCD
Andersen has advised the partners of TECOM Ingredients, a distributor of ingredients and additives for the food industry located in Molins de Rei (Barcelona), on the sale of 100% of the share capital to Dutch group IMCD.
With this transaction, TECOM becomes a leading company in its sector and IMCD, a company listed in the Netherlands and a world leader in the distribution and formulation of chemical specialities and ingredients, consolidates its position in the Iberian market and expands its portfolio of ingredients.
Founded in 1996, TECOM develops innovative solutions for savoury snacks, bakery and pastry products, dairy and vegetable drinks, confectionery, meat, ready meals, health and nutrition. IMCD was created in 1995 as a result of the merger of a group of companies. It has eight business lines: advanced materials, beauty and personal care, coatings and construction, food and nutrition, home care and I&I (industrial and institutional), industrial solutions, lubricants, and energy and pharmaceuticals. The group is present in more than 60 countries and employs more than 5,126 professionals. In 2024, it generated revenues of €4.727 billion.
