Andersen advises in the debt restructuring of Puerto de Cuba La Raza Group
Andersen advised Grupo Puerto de Cuba La Raza in the M&A transaction and debt restructuring affecting the acquired companies Farogómez, Restaurante La Hostería del Prado and Restauraciones Alazar, as well as its former parent company Grupo Corporativo La Raza.
The M&A operation, together with the restructuring plan proposed by the Andersen team, established for 5 years and which has achieved the support of 95% of the creditors, allows avoiding bankruptcy and ensuring the viability of the companies.
In July 2024, Grupo Puerto de Cuba acquired the three main companies of Grupo La Raza and gave rise to the current Grupo Puerto de Cuba La Raza, an Andalusian company specialized in catering and hospitality services made up of emblematic establishments such as Bar Casa EME, Puerto de Cuba Premier, La Placita de San Bernardo, La Raza Puerto Sevilla, Citroen, La Hostería del Prado-Restaurante Ispal and Entrecárceles.
The advice has been led by Marta Morales, Andersen’s Corporate / M&A partner, together with a team of lawyers specialized in restructurings formed by Dino Capellaci, senior associate; Miguel Ángel Colmenero, associate, and Claudia Olivares, lawyer, and with the participation of Arturo Murillo, associate, for the commercial aspects.
