Andersen advises BNZ on contracting Proef for the development of a photovoltaic plant in Portugal

Andersen is advising BNZ on the signing of an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract with the Portuguese construction company Proef. The agreement is for the construction of a solar photovoltaic plant in Muro (Porto district, Portugal). The plant will have an installed capacity of 28.37 MWp, produce 43.68 GWh annually, and avoid more than 14,000 tons of CO₂ emissions per year.

BNZ is an independent power producer that develops, builds and operates renewable energy projects. With this operation, BNZ strengthens its presence in Portugal and Europe and advances in the production of 100% sustainable energy.

Proef is a multinational company that offers telecommunications and energy solutions, among others. In the field of photovoltaic plants, they develop a complete EPC solution covering engineering (project, design), procurement (purchasing, procurement) and construction.

Federico Belausteguigoitia, partner in the Energy area of Andersen’s Corporate / M&A department, together with Constanza López de Oña, senior associate, and Maria Racionero, lawyer, both from the same team, have been in charge of advising on the transaction.
