Andersen adds Ana Úbeda and Ingrid Barruz as new partners

Andersen has strengthened its Barcelona office with the addition of Ana Úbeda and Ingrid Barruz as partners in the Corporate M&A and public and regulatory law departments, respectively. Úbeda transits from Fieldfisher Spain, where she was a partner, shile Barruz comes from Lener Asesores, where she also served as partner.

Ana Úbeda has more than 20 years of experience as a lawyer, specialising in corporate and commercial matters with a particular focus on franchising, agency, and distribution. She has advised national and international companies on drafting and adapting franchise documentation to Spanish legislation, and on out-of-court dispute resolution in the sector. She holds a degree in Law from Universitat Abat Oliba CEU and a Master’s in European Law from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.

Ingrid Barruz has over two decades of experience advising companies in highly regulated sectors such as healthcare and automotive. She has developed expertise in advising private companies and public bodies on administrative and environmental law and public procurement. She has taken part in drafting regulatory projects at both national and international levels and has participated as a speaker and author in several specialist publications on environmental law. Barruz holds a degree in Law from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where she also earned her PhD in International Law and Economics.

These appointments, which form part of the firm’s growth strategy in the Catalan capital, follow the recent hire of Silvia Perea as partner in NewLaw, bringing Andersen close to 40 professionals in Barcelona, states Andersen.
