Alvinesa acquires Industrias Vínicas and Dervinsa: Advisors

The natural ingredients company based in Daimiel, Spain, has acquired the two main companies in the valorization of grape by-products in Chile and Argentina. With this operation, the new group becomes the world leader in grape seed oil, tartaric acid and cream of tartar, while strengthening its positions in biofuels, functional foods, food supplements, grape tannins and polyphenols, functional additives for animal feed, and food and industrial alcohols.

Alvinesa, which in 2023 reached 100 million euros in turnover, will achieve a turnover of more than 150 million euros by consolidating Vinicas and Dervinsa.

Jon Fernandez de Barrena, CEO of Alvinesa, said “the operation is part of Alvinesa’s strategy to remain a benchmark in super-recycling (transforming a natural waste into a product of higher quality and greater ecological and economic value) and to continue improving its services to its customers”.

Pinsent Masons has advised Alvinesa. The team was led by Antonio Sánchez Montero, partner, together with Rafael Durán Frías (Legal Director), Elena Ribelles Segura (Associate), Simón-Alfonso Pobes Vallés (Associate) and Alejandro Más Deudero (Associate).
