Alexander Kolb, Acerinox’s new Deputy General Secretary

The former partner of Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, Alexander Kolb, has joined the Acerinox steel group as deputy general secretary.

He commented on his LinkedIn: “After 25 years practicing law in law firms, I am looking forward to a new stage in the business world, as Deputy General Secretary of Acerinox. I am delighted to start this new professional challenge and to be part of a magnificent team with which I have been fortunate to work for years as an external consultant.”

The lawyer joined Gómez-Acebo & Pombo a little less than a year ago, as a corporate partner. He has more than 20 years of experience and has developed his professional practice in the international firms Clifford Chance and Linklaters, where he was a partner for more than ten years. Alexander specializes in advising on complex and strategic M&A transactions, both in the field of listed companies (including IPOs, public-to-private transactions and mergers) as well as unlisted companies and private equity transactions. He also has extensive experience in advising on corporate governance matters.

Acerinox

The Acerinox Group is a world leader in the manufacture of stainless steel and high-performance alloys. It has a melting capacity of 3.5 million tons. The Group has six stainless steel factories: four flat product plants (three of them integrated: Acerinox Europe, North American Stainless and Columbus Stainless; and one cold rolling mill: Bahru Stainless), and two long product plants. The other 7 factories (located in the United States and Germany) manufacture high performance alloys. Their products, with more than 11,000 possible combinations, are sold through an extensive sales network in more than 80 countries.
