Afianza hires Cristina Palomares to head its litigation area
Afianza, a Spanish company specialized in comprehensive professional services for companies, has appointed Cristina Palomares, from PwC, as the new head of its litigation area. This move is part of the growth and consolidation strategy of the company, which seeks to strengthen its capabilities in litigation, arbitration and criminal compliance.

Cristina Palomares holds a degree in Law and a diploma in Business Administration from CEU San Pablo University, an MBA from ESADE and has completed her international studies with a BA (Hons) International Business at Leeds Becket University. Palomares also has a deep knowledge of the sector acquired after working in different law firms and has more than 14 years of professional experience in litigation, having spent most of her career in the Litigation & Insolvency department of PwC, where she comes from. She has also combined her activity with teaching at IE Business School, where she has been a professor of International Arbitration.
Throughout her career, she has been involved in numerous highly complex judicial and arbitration proceedings, advising companies in various sectors. In addition, she is a recognized expert in the field of Criminal Compliance, with solid experience in the implementation and review of Crime Prevention and Detection Models both in Spain and internationally. In this context, she has worked as an external advisor for Criminal Compliance Bodies, actively contributing to strengthen the compliance culture in organizations of different sizes and sectors.
