Administrativando Abogados appoints new director of international relations

Administrativando Abogados has appointed Alejandro Canónico, ultil now of counsel, new director of internacional relations.

Alejandro has been dedicated to the study, consultancy and practice of administrative law, especially in areas related to public procurement, energy, public goods and services. He has advised public sector bodies and entities, as well as individuals and legal entities related to the different public administrations.

He founded the law firm Canónico & Josic, dedicated mainly to areas related to public law, and to the practice of contentious-administrative jurisdiction.

He has been legal advisor to different chambers or business associations: Chamber of Tourism of Nueva Esparta State, Chamber of Commerce, Free Port and Production of Nueva Esparta, Chamber of Construction, Chamber of Hotels, and Fedecámaras NE.

He has held different positions in the public administration, among them: Municipal Attorney, Real Estate Registrar, Legal Consultant and Attorney General of Nueva Esparta State. He has also been an accidental judge, serving as Municipal Judge, Judge of First Instance in Civil and Mercantile Matters and Superior Judge in Civil Matters in Nueva Esparta State.

He holds a PhD in Law from the University of La Coruña. He teaches in different universities, mainly on subjects related to public law, constitutional law, administrative law and procedural law. In addition, he has devoted himself to scientific research in the areas of administrative law, with an extensive and outstanding bibliographic production.

He has also given lectures, presentations, classes and communications in different forums, seminars, congresses and conferences, both in person and online, held in Argentina, Ecuador, Spain, Peru and Venezuela.
