Administrativando Abogados hires Santiago González-Varas
Administrativando Abogados continues to expand its team, announcing the addition of Santiago González-Varas Ibáñez, Professor of Administrative Law at the University of Alicante, as Academic Of Counsel. This follows the recent hire of Javier Cabrera Arévalo as Senior Associate. With this latest appointment, the firm now boasts a team of 22 professionals, including five international partners with presence in six countries.

Beyond his academic contributions, he will guide and oversee highly complex legal procedures.”
González-Varas has earned his Doctorate in Law in 1991 and has held prominent academic roles in Spain and Germany, including at the University of León and the University of Dresden, where he specialized in public procurement law.
Beyond academia, he has served as an advisor to the European Parliament and the German government and has contributed to the drafting of several legislative texts in Spain and abroad. Most recently, he was commissioned to draft the Historic Heritage Law in the Dominican Republic.
