Addleshaw Goddard promotes Gonzalo Fernández to partner

Addleshaw Goddard has announced the promotion of Gonzalo Fernández as a new partner in the corporate/M&A practice in its Spain office. Gonzalo Fernández brings extensive experience in M&A, corporate reorganizations, and strategic advice to national and international companies. Throughout his career at the firm, he has taken part in complex transactions.

Regarding this appointment, Roberto Pomares, managing partner at Addleshaw Goddard in Spain, says: “Gonzalo’s promotion reflects recognition of his outstanding contribution to the firm, both in technical excellence and in business development and team management. His contribution in key areas for the growth of our Corporate and Private Equity practices, as well as his leadership skills and strategic vision, will be essential in strengthening our firm in Spain and consolidating our relationship with the rest of Addleshaw Goddard’s offices.”

Appointment of new counsels

Addleshaw Goddard has also approved the promotions of Victoria Ruenes as counsel in the corporate team and of Cristina Esteban as counsel in the employment team. Victoria Ruenes has developed a solid career in M&A transactions, corporate governance, and corporate advisory matters, participating in complex transactions with both national and international clients. Meanwhile, Cristina Esteban brings extensive experience in Employment Law, with a particular focus on managing labour relations in companies across diverse sectors, restructurings, collective bargaining, and litigation.

The Madrid office now has 16 partners, 9 counsels, and more than 70 lawyers.
