Addleshaw Goddard launches the new edition of the AG Elevate project
The law firm Addleshaw Goddard has opened the application period for participation in its AG Elevate project, its European acceleration program aimed at technology startups with great potential for expansion and which for the first time is offered to Spanish companies. The objective of AG Elevate is to promote projects through a 10-month program in which Addleshaw Goddard’s team of lawyers will provide legal advice in the areas of law in which the selected startups need it.
AG Elevate is aimed at companies based primarily in the UK, Ireland, France, Spain or Germany. In addition to legal advice and mentoring, the acceleration program offers startups access to numerous training seminars and networking events organized by Addleshaw Goddard, whose attendees include senior executives and experts from industry and the financial sector.
Open to technology companies with high growth potential that are in seed or later stage
The program’s support package consists of a mentor who will meet with the company on a monthly basis; 25 hours of free legal advice in areas of expertise; access to Addleshaw Goddard’s legal seminars and networking events; access to the firm’s documentary resources (legal updates and other publications); and access to regular information sessions organized in collaboration with business mentors from the Addleshaw Goddard network.
The AG Elevate call for applications will be open until July 31, and interested parties can submit their applications via the website.
AG Elevate
Since its launch in 2017, the program has helped more than 60 companies tackle complex legal and business challenges. The participants, all of whom are tech startups, include companies from a variety of sectors, including fintech, consumer, sustainability, clean-tech and prop-tech. Some of these companies include Tumelo, Amiqus, Finance Unlocked, Intelligent Growth Solutions and Fuuse.
The program coordinators in Spain, Germán Cabrera, corporate partner, and Samuel Martínez, head of the New Technologies area, point out: “AG Elevate is primarily looking for interesting and ambitious technology companies with strong leadership that can demonstrate high growth potential. It can often be incredibly difficult for startups to address the many legal and operational challenges that arise during their growth stages, particularly in the definition of the business model, their internationalization phase and with the search for and entry of new investors. That’s why this program is so enriching: it provides them with legal support and mentoring, using our extensive knowledge of the technology sector through Addleshaw Goddard’s offices in Europe and the Middle East.”
