Addleshaw Goddard advises on the launch and first closing of its fund Creas Impacto II
Addleshaw Goddard advises Creas, a pioneering impact investment manager in Spain, on the launch of its second fund, Creas Impacto II, an investment vehicle with a final target of 70 million euros and which, in its first closing, formalized with investment commitments of almost 40 million euros, already has the participation of institutional investors such as the European Investment Fund (EIF) and the ICO, private investors and foreign investors such as the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation.
As with the fund manager’s first fund, the strategy of this new vehicle focuses on investing in and supporting European companies with social and/or environmental impact objectives and whose main activity is focused on key areas for society such as empowering people through education and inclusive employment; caring for vulnerable people with a particular focus on the elderly; and building regenerative models that help mitigate climate change.
The investment focus of Creas Impacto II is aimed at companies that want to participate in this systemic change. Leading companies in their sectors that work in key areas such as education and inclusive employment, care for vulnerable people and the promotion of circular and sustainable models of production and consumption, providing transformative solutions that empower people, improve their quality of life and regenerate the economy.
Isabel Rodríguez points out that, “in order to address two of today’s major global challenges -climate change and social inequality- impact investment will undoubtedly play a key role and in the coming years we will see its consolidation as a tool to address these challenges. This is why projects like Creas Impact II are so important. For the entire Addleshaw Goddard team, it is a pleasure to be able to advise them.”
