Addleshaw Goddard advises Mapfre on the acquisition of an office building in Madrid
Addleshaw Goddard has advised Mapfre on the acquisition, through its reinsurance unit Mapfre RE, of an office building located in Madrid, with a total leasable office area of 8,854 square metres.
The property comprises nine floors and includes 47 parking spaces. It currently boasts 100% occupancy.
Situated at Calle María de Molina 54 in Madrid’s Salamanca district, the building is located in one of the most premium areas of the city, with strong potential thanks to its excellent connections to the airport and the A-2 motorway, as well as several ongoing public transport and infrastructure improvement projects.
With this transaction, Mapfre continues to strengthen its diversified and sustainable investment strategy, aimed at balancing its portfolio with alternative assets and identifying investment opportunities in prime areas of Europe’s capital cities.
The Addleshaw Goddard team advising Mapfre was led by partner José Antonio Calleja, together with counsel Candela Escribano and associate Marta Orta, from the Real Estate team.
