Across Legal Advises Amadeus on its Acquisition of Voxel Media
Amadeus has successfully acquired Voxel Media, a company specializing in digitalization and international electronic transaction solutions within the hospitality and tourism sectors for approx 113 million Euros.
This acquisition of the electronic invoice and B2B payment solution provider supports Amadeus’ commitment to provide a simplified and convenient travel payment experience, while also complementing the travel technology company’s payments business. Additionally, the move intends to focus on expanding Amadeus’ payments business in the hospitality industry.
Voxel, a privately held company, was founded in 1998 and is based in Barcelona, Spain. The acquisition, which has now closed, brings more than 200 Voxel employees to Amadeus.
The transaction received legal advisory support from Across Legal, specifically the team led by partner Sarah Schwartz, the US lawyer based in the Madrid’s office, that advises on mergers and acquisitions., and with te support of Eduardo Cámara Hortelano (senior associate), Cristina Sánchez San Juan (associate) and Rosa Fernández Novo (lawyer).
