ACC Europe kicks off its annual conference in Copenhagen
From 3–5 June, Copenhagen becomes the meeting point for the in-house legal community as the ACC Europe Conference takes over the Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center for its 2026 edition — in media partnership with Legalcommunity, LegalcommunityGERMANY, Inhousecommunity, LegalcommunityCH, and Iberian Lawyer.
The conference’s theme, “Digital Currents: From Harbour to Cloud — Advancing Legal in a New Era“, draws inspiration from Copenhagen’s historic harbour as a symbol of progress and connection. As digital currents continue to reshape business and society, the conference aims to help the global in-house legal community navigate this transformation through collaboration, innovation, and shared expertise.
The programme features more than fifteen panel discussions focused on key cross-border legal issues, including AI and digital transformation, ESG strategy, and global investigations. Sessions will be organised across two thematic tracks:
Strategic Leadership – designed for in-house counsel driving strategic change, anticipating risks, and shaping the future of legal leadership within their organisations and beyond.
Next Gen Legal – dedicated to in-house counsel navigating emerging risk areas, adapting to evolving regulatory frameworks, and staying ahead of changing societal expectations.
The opening keynote session, Freediving Through Fear: Mental Fitness to Unlock Capabilities We Don’t Know We Have, will be delivered by Helena Bourdillon, four-time World Champion and world-record-holding freediver. Drawing on her personal journey from severe depression to becoming a world champion, Bourdillon will share five evidence-based mental fitness tools that helped her unlock resilience, performance, and personal growth.
Her presentation addresses a challenge faced by many professionals who operate in survival mode without realising it. Rather than experiencing crisis-level distress, many find themselves trapped in a low-grade threat response that can resemble dedication and focus, while quietly fuelling imposter syndrome, decision paralysis, and the kind of chronic exhaustion that ultimately leads to burnout.
The ACC Europe Conference remains a must-attend event for members of the international association of in-house legal professionals, as well as for companies, law firms, and universities from across Europe and beyond. It offers a unique platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and discussion of the legal and business challenges shaping the future of the profession.
