ACC Europe 2025 Annual Conference kicks off
ACC Europe‘s Annual Conference is back for another year, scheduled for May 21-23 at the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya in Barcelona, in collaboration with IberianLawyer, Inhousecommunity, Legalcommunity, LegalcommunityCH and Legalcommunity GERMANY.
Future-Focussed Legal
The central theme of the 2025 edition is “Future-Focussed Legal: Embracing Tomorrow’s Opportunities” : a look into the future of the legal profession, which calls on general counsel to face the challenges and opportunities of a constantly evolving global context. In this scenario, the ability to anticipate technological, geopolitical and regulatory changes becomes crucial for in-house legal departments to guide organizations through the transformations that await them.
The conference will officially open on Wednesday, May 21 with the joint keynote session with the CLO Summit entitled “Regulation in the Crossfire: the global legal war on technology and more ”, which will focus on the growing global regulatory tensions in technology, with a particular focus on the race to regulate artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. Speakers at this conference will be: Anu Bradford, Henry L. Moses Professor of International Law and Organizations, Columbia Law School, Javier Fontcuberta, Managing Partner, Cuatrecasas, Eva Argíles , General Counsel, Applus Services. The panel will address the key regulatory conflicts that are reshaping the future of global business, with a focus on the divergences between the United States, the European Union and China.
The ACC Europe conference is an essential event for members of the international in-house counsel association, as well as companies, law firms and academic institutions from across Europe and beyond. The 2025 edition includes more than 30 meetings, workshops and roundtables focused on key topics for the legal function in companies: from the use of AI to increase the efficiency of legal teams to global compliance management, sustainability strategies, diversity and inclusion, antitrust and corporate governance.
