Abreu guides Panattoni on real estate acquisition from Saint-Gobain
Abreu Advogados has assisted Panattoni Ibéria, a logistics and industrial developer in Europe, in acquiring land from the former Covina glass factory from Saint-Gobain, located in Santa Iria de Azóia. The transaction was formalized earlier this year. The next step will be obtaining construction permits for the Panattoni Park Lisbon-City project, which will establish the company’s first logistics park in the Greater Lisbon area, states Abreu.
The logistics park will be developed in three lots, covering a total area of 212,380 m². It will feature five warehouses with a total gross leasable area of 85,485 m². The construction process is planned in two phases, with the first phase starting in February 2025 and the second phase beginning in mid-2025. Panattoni expects the construction phase to generate 200 new jobs.
The legal advisory services provided by Abreu Advogados to Panattoni Ibéria began in March 2021 and included all legal work, from due diligence on the real estate assets to negotiating and executing tthe purchase and sale agreement, finalizing the acquisition of the three properties involved, and handling all necessary documentation, including preliminary information requests with the Tax Authority.
