Abreu Advogados incorporates Rita Albuquerque as new partner

Abreu Advogados has incorporated Rita Albuquerque as new partner in the corporate, commercial and M&A area, led by José Maria Corrêa de Sampaio, Ana Sofia Batista and Manuel Santos Vítor, and particularly in the private equity segment.

The lawyer joins Abreu from PLMJ, where she was a Managing Associate in the Corporate and M&A area, having advised several national and international clients on a wide range of M&A and corporate restructuring projects.

Her name has been associated with some of the largest M&A deals in Portugal, advising leading companies and private equity funds in a variety of sectors, including sovereign wealth funds, industry, distribution, new technologies and innovation and media.

Rita Albuquerque has a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, an LL.M. Advanced Programme in International Business Law from the Portuguese Catholic University and a post-graduate degree in Corporate Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
