Abreu advises Raize under European Crowdfunding Regulation
Abreu Advogados has advised the crowdfunding platform Raize, on the authorisation to operate under the European Crowdfunding Regulation. The team from Abreu was led by partner Diogo Pereira Duarte (pictured), co-coordinator of the banking and finance and FinTech practice, associate Rafael Silva Teopisto and trainees Alexandra Rebordão Sousa and Mafalda Santos Cordeiro.
Raize was the first Portuguese crowdfunding platform to be registered with the CMVM, being a subsidiary of Raize IP, authorised by the Bank of Portugal and admitted to trading at the Euronext Lisbon. Based on this new license under the European Crowdfunding Regulation, Raize is now authorised to perform the activities of placement and reception and transmission of orders on securities and other admitted instruments and to operate cross border through the European market under the European Passport regime.
