Abreu advises Grupo Rodilla on the acquisition of A Padaria Portuguesa
Abreu Advogados advised the Spanish group Rodilla on the acquisition of 100% of the bakery chain A Padaria Portuguesa. The firm’s advisory services included due diligence, negotiation of the sale and purchase agreement, and notification of the transaction to the Competition Authority, which is currently ongoing.
The Spanish group Rodilla, with around 300 establishments, is part of the Damm brewery’s food service brands. Damm is a food and beverage company operating in over 130 countries. Founded in 2010, A Padaria Portuguesa has 84 stores across Portugal and two production facilities, in Lisbon and Porto. The company was put up for sale at the end of 2024 by its main shareholders, Nuno Carvalho, CEO, and José Diogo Quintela.
